feast of st. patrick

Andrea had a small dinner party for St. Patrick’s Day. It was a fun, low-key way to celebrate, and the meal was so good. Pictures are below. Don’t blame me if you get drool all over your keyboard.

Corned beef in the crock pot!

The corned beef was cooked in this crock pot with potatoes, carrots, and onions. Also, two cans of beer!

Corned beef and beer

Murphy’s Stout makes the corned beef wonderful.

Bread, I love you.

This bread from the Swedish Bakery was just delicious with the cheese.

Dinner, you are served.

Andrea made a stellar meal. She shared that St. Patrick’s Day was her late father’s favorite holiday, so it was a nice way to remember him.

Conversation ranged from the Duggars (yes, those Duggars) to weddings, and all other points that may or may not fall in between. Magda squealed with delight when I told her about Maria and Clancy’s wedding in Whistler. Which, when I check the archives of this blog, I kinda sorta maybe forgot to write about. I think I have some making up to do.

Brief note: Alex Chilton died tonight. Everybody on Tumblr and Twitter is listening to Big Star, which is how it should be.
